Overview:
The Xirrus Management System (XMS) is a highly visual and intuitive wireless network management platform built ground up with one goal – to reduce the burden on IT by simplifying Wi-Fi operations. The XMS scales from managing small, single site networks to large networks with tens of thousands of devices across multiple locations. Xirrus provides you with the flexibility to implement XMS in two ways:
- XMS-Enterprise, an on-premise solution operating on VMware or Hyper-V virtual environments
- XMS-Cloud, a software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution runs from the cloud

Xirrus Management Systems — Enterprise makes it easy to monitor and control Wi-Fi networks on premise. It includes a single management console, web-based interface, and customizable guest access portals. Xirrus Application Control software ensures predictable performance and traffic balance. Licensing and configuration are automatic which significantly reduces IT team workload and set up time. This on-premise solution allows you to control and manage your network from your computer.

In-depth Control and Visibility
The XMS-Cloud dashboard is a “widget-based” view into the entire Xirrus wireless network. The dashboard gives a comprehensive view into the health and statistics of various network elements - fixed and modular APs, applications and devices over various time intervals. The individual widgets can be moved around to personalize the dashboard. From the same dashboard, identify and control over 1300 applications to ensure performance of business critical applications. You can schedule policies by application categories or individual applications for specific days and time.
Easy-to-Deploy
The “Zero touch “ deployment capability enables even non-technical staff to plug the fixed and modular APs into the network and set up the network in minutes. The APs automatically reach out to the cloud service and download the network profile to set up secure network reducing the burden on IT.
Simplify Deployment
XMS-Cloud simplifies network configuration with “Profiles”. Network profile is a set of network configuration parameters grouped together. Configuring network devices is as easy as dragging and dropping the APs on to a specific network profile. Any changes made to the profile are automatically pushed to all APs associated with that profile without any IT intervention.
Quickly Resolve Issues
Floor plans in XMS-Cloud have been seamlessly integrated into geo maps, so as to let you start with a global view of your entire multi-site network and be able to zoom all the way down to a specific floor of a specific site and visualize heat maps for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. This allows you to quickly go from surveying the overall health of your network to honing in on specific parts of it, visualizing and quickly diagnosing possible issues.
Instantly Enable Secure Guest Access
XMS-Cloud enables you to easily provide secure and controlled access to visitors on the Wi-Fi network. Set up multiple simultaneous guest portals for different types of users as in multi-hall convention centers. Off load guest administration to non IT staff or enable self-registration with optional sponsor workflow.
Optimize RF Management
Optimize performance of your Wi-Fi network with software programmable radios to simultaneously support 802.11ac standard on every radio. XMSCloud provides the flexibility to configure any radio to operate on 2.4GHz or 5GHz bands.
